PROSPICIMUS-OPVOEDINGSENTRUM

If your child develops learning disabilities with regard to Home Language and/or Mathematics, the child will be referred to the Prospicimus Education Centre. The school-based support team, together with the class teacher, will draw up a support plan.
The Prospicimus Education Centre offers the following disciplines of support:

REMEDIAL

• Full evaluations of level of functioning
• School readiness evaluation
• Transcribers
• Amanuensis: Readers – Assessment support

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

• Screening tests
• Sensory integration
• Perceptual development
• Gross and fine motor development

SPEECH AND AUDITORY THERAPY

• Speech / Language Therapy and Audiology
• Early identification of language and speech problems
• Speech and language evaluations

DIDACTIC SUPPORT TEAM

• Support given by class educators
• Integration for learners with didactical needs
