The school’s aftercare centre is open to enrolled learners where a warm atmosphere creates a stimulating and safe environment for our aftercare learners to play, rest and learn.

HOURS

• Mondays to Fridays 12:30 – 17:30 and the holiday club operates from 07:45 – 17.30.

ENROLLMENT

• Enrollment forms are available at the Aftercare Admin building and enrollment forms can be mailed to the head of aftercare at nasorg@welgemoedprimary.co.za or dropped off at the aftercare admin building or school reception.

SPORT AND CULTURE ACTIVITIES

• All enrolled aftercare learners will receive an extra-mural sheet for parents to fill out.
• Learners are escorted to and from the extra-mural activities by the aftercare staff.

LUNCH

• Please pack an additional lunch box and water bottle for aftercare.

HOMEWORK

• Group homework assignments will be completed with the help of the trained teachers at the aftercare centre. Homework is scheduled from 14.30 – 15.30. It remains the parents’ responsibility to check that all homework is done and assignments completed.

SAFETY

• Safety is a high priority at the aftercare centre.
• The grade 1’s has one Afrikaans and one English class room assigned just to them and a strict roll call system is maintained to make sure all learners are accounted for.
